Term 2 school holidays!

The first week of the holidays was really rainy and windy. My brother and I spent most of the time doing and sorting Lego. We had visits from a few friends and we went on a trip to the Auckland Museum because my brother wanted to look at the new dinosaur exhibit. There has been a recent discovery of dinosaurs footprints in New Zealand. The second week of the holidays the weather was much nicer with only a little bit of rain. On Tuesday we met a few friends at the Stardome Observatory in the city where we watched dinosaurs and meteorites. Afterwards we went outside on a big playground to eat our sandwich. On Thursday we took the bus at Torbay and it took us all the way to the city. We walked a little way and then climbed up a flight of stairs to Cornwall Park and had a picnic. Then we visited the Art Gallery and we got to make masks shaped like kangaroo faces. Next we walked to the bus and it drove us home! On Friday we went to the Bruce Mason theatre to watch Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It was a show for little kids, but I still enjoyed it and Nicolo loved it! I had a great holiday!

This is me and my brother with the sponge cake I made in the holidays.
